Istanbul, Türkiye – 19 October 2025 – As governments, businesses, and civil society accelerate efforts to curb plastic pollution, Yunus Environment Hub (YEH) and José Manuel Moller, Founder & CEO of Common House, with support from the Röchling Foundation, announced the upcoming launch of Open Reuse, an open-source platform designed to scale sustainable reuse business models worldwide.
Every year, the world generates over two billion tonnes of waste yet only a small percentage is effectively reducing waste upstream. According to the World Bank, global waste is expected to increase by 70% by 2050 if no action is taken.
