Julie is a Social Business Strategist and lead for the Build Back Better program at Yunus Environment Hub.
Julie is passionate about social businesses and supporting entrepreneurs to build sustainable businesses with social impact at their core. She has vast experience working on global impact programs for multinationals with a focus on developing global frameworks for local implementation. She loves to roll up her sleeves and work directly with people in the field to gain perspectives relevant to her work. Over the past 15 years, she has volunteered as a mentor for social startups with a focus on female founders.
Originally from Seattle, Julie has worked and traveled across the globe to embed herself in local contexts for international projects. She has spent the last 15 years with Barcelona as a home base where she can enjoy long hikes in the mountains and by the sea with her family.
Julie has a dual degree in business administration and Spanish from Western Washington University. She has a curious mind and loves to explore, living by her motto “never stop learning, never stop traveling”.
