Moritz Kolbe

Research Analyst

Moritz Kolbe holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Geography and is currently pursuing his MSc in International Development and Management at Lund University in Sweden. From a background in non-profit management, public development cooperation and impact investment, Moritz brings a range of diverse experiences to the team, which he gained both in Europe and East Africa.

At YEH, Moritz is working primarily on job creation and business development projects, contributing his experience in the Sub Saharan start-up ecosystem. He speaks German, English, French, and some conversational Amharic.

As a divemaster and avid hiker, Moritz is passionate about spending time in nature and challenging himself physically.


We proudly announce that on Wednesday, 15th June 2022 we will host the public launch event of our project “SINA – Soziale Innovationen für Nachhaltigkeit” at the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection. With high-level speakers, we will discuss the role of social innovations in the sustainability transformation in Germany and present first project insights to the audience. (The event is conducted in German only)
