Leshan Waithira
Communications Assitant
Leshan Waithira is a Communications Assistant at Yunus Environment Hub. She is a multifaceted communication and media specialist with experience in development communication, broadcast journalism, public relations, digital marketing, copywriting, videography and photography. She is also passionate about Sustainable Development Goals -Climate Change, End Poverty and Gender Equality- and Global Governance.
Prior to joining YEH, she worked as a Communication Consulting Officer at KCIC Consulting Limited where she provided communication support to clients and partners. Additionally, she also supported KCIC Consulting Limited to coordinate special programmes that sought to provide sustainable solutions to the most pressing environmental issues.
Born and raised in Kenya, Leshan wishes to change the climate change narrative and hopes to see every individual collaborating with each other to mitigate the effects of climate change. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Chuka University. In her free time, she enjoys watching documentaries and travelling.
