Anastasia Guretskaya
CirculaRise Accelerator Lead
Anastasia joins YEH as the project lead for the CirculaRise Accelerator.
With more than 10 years of experience working at the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Anastasia has a deep understanding of national and international policies shaping a green economy, sustainable development, food systems and nature conservation.
She has expertise in international negotiations, project management, developing strategies and policies, and creating different stakeholder formats.
Throughout her career, she has been driven by a strong commitment to social justice, diversity and positive leadership. She believes that change begins with asking difficult questions — of our systems, our institutions and ourselves. She approaches challenges through a systemic, strategic and creative lens, and is especially drawn to connecting ideas, projects and people in ways that generate lasting change.
Inspired by nature, the oceans and wildlife, Anastasia finds both grounding and motivation in the natural world. This sense of awe continues to influence her work and reinforces her commitment to planet and people.
Anastasia has a background in political science and law, and a Masters in Environmental Policy from Cambridge University. She grew up bilingually with German and Russian spoken in her family, and she also speaks English, Spanish and French. She holds a certificate in Female Leadership and volunteers as a mentor for other women. She loves to spend time in nature, to draw, to read and to laugh with her friends.
